I can provide a full design, manufacturing and installation service, from initial consultation with you to discuss project aims and objectives, to the final installation of the completed piece.

Consultation
Initial meeting with you to discuss the project and to clarify functional/technical specifications

Site meeting
I take inspiration for my designs from the environment into which the piece will be introduced. The final piece will reflect the character and history of the site. I undertake extensive research (photographs, drawings etc) and make detailed measurements to inform and inspire my ideas

Design proposals
After spending time at the site, I develop themes and ideas on paper and by experimenting with hot iron at the forge. I present design proposal drawings (and samples/maquettes for more extensive projects) to you and we then agree on the final design specifications, timescale and cost.

Manufacture
All work is hand-crafted from the finest materials by me at my forge to ensure consistency of quality and design. I employ traditional blacksmithing skills and modern technology where this aids creativity and quality to produce visually compelling and highly durable forms. I can finish the work in a range of decorative finishes including hot-zinc sprayed for corrosion resistance.

Installation
I will normally deliver large pieces of work to site, where I can provide a full installation and commissioning service. I am also able to provide a period of maintenance and refinishing service, if required.
